Sarbartha Chakrabarti

Sarbartha Chakrabarti Batch of 2001

Currently based in London, I work as a Senior Manager at Cognizant, leading the migration and cloud upgrades pillar within our data management practice in the UKI&EU. Since graduating in 2007, Ive been deeply rooted in the world of data, witnessing and adapting to the many shifts in technology over the years. My expertise spans data quality, data governance, machine learning, master data management, and analytics. I also contribute to the Centre of Excellence for Data Management here in the UK, helping businesses harness the power of data and AI. I remain passionate about all things data and grateful to be in a field that constantly evolves and inspires.

Can’t deny, what truly shaped me, however, was my days at Dolna. It’s where we were taught not just academics, but values — to be grounded, graceful, and kind. Like Aunty Mashi kept telling us, “Always smile at people when you make eye contact – there is no harm”. That simple lesson, among many others, continues to stay with me. Even today, a simple smile, a gentle greeting, or quiet confidence sets us apart. Living away, I see more clearly how deeply those early lessons matter. I carry them with pride, and no matter where life takes us, we remain connected to Dolna — ready to give back, always.
